Elkhart enjoys four distinct seasons. Summers are sunny and hot - perfect for enjoying its many rivers and lakes.  Fall bursts with color as tree-lined streets paint a picturesque scene.  Winter brings snow, but only sporadic substantial accumulations.  If winter sports are your hobby, you can find ample locations to ski and snowmobile by taking a short drive north to our bordering neighbor, Michigan.    Another burst of color awakens the countryside when spring arrives.  The birds return from their southern migration while spring flowers and tree leaves explode with shades of the season. It's truly exhilerating!
